If you like arcade-ish flight combat games similar to Ace Combat, Aggressors: Fantasy Air Combat can scratch that itch, but it comes with its own personality.
The game is created by a solo developer nicknamed Sanikku, and is set in a future in which humanity has gone extinct and has been replaced by animal people who are the results of genetic experimentation.
The world is dominated by powerful superpowers like the People’s Republic of Asia, the United States of Amerigo, and the Rusvanian Federation, but the player isn’t aligned with any of them.
Instead, we’ll play the role of a mercenary pilot serving with the “Nomads” squadron, belonging to the Merchant Shipping Company’s 4th fleet, meaning that we’ll have to deal with these superpowers, either as enemies or doing the jobs they don’t want to take responsibility for.
According to the developer, the game is a “flight arcade,” but compared to Ace Combat or Project Wingman, it focuses more on a sim-like experience by incorporating elements of flight simulation that are fun.
You can read more about the game on this page.
Recently, the developer shared a batch of screenshots, which you can see below.

We also get new gameplay footage, starting with a rather unique hub where you’ll be able to interact with other characters.
Of course, most of the game is based on air combat, and you can see some below.
The developer also posted a video showing new visuals for flares and missile trails.
Lastly, we get a look at anti-ship missiles in action.
