Creating a train in A-Train9 Train Construction is a complex process that allows players to create pretty much anything they can imagine.

To start, players pick the shape of the train. They can choose a blank canvas or pre-made templates with things like windows, doors, and cabins already created. These templates are great options for those who may be overwhelmed with creating a train from scratch. However, there are 170 design options for players who want to customize every inch of the train’s build.

Of course, it doesn’t stop there. Painting and designing the train is a huge part of it. Players have pretty much total freedom to create anything they want, and they can import SVG images to help. The examples use things like handicap signs to show realistic designs that players can choose to use.

Steam Workshop lets players share and import designs from other players, too. This can help inspire players while also building a fun community.

Up to ten train cars can be put together before players take their designs to the streets. Once it’s ready, players can take trains on trail runs. Whether players sit behind the wheel or view the train from outside, there are several options for checking out the trial run of your train.

Players can choose from four different types of environments: countryside, suburban, urban, and space. They can also pick between day, evening, and night to see the train in different lights.

Artdink uploaded a video that shows off this process for fans who want to see what it looks like in-game:

Players can also check out several images of the train-designing process:
