Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is turning final, and one interesting element about it is that Microsoft involved many developers from the community.

Simulation Daily attended a preview event in Arizona, and there we were able to interview Christopher Burnett, Co-founder of Working Title Simulations, and Brandon Yaeger, Founder and Project Lead at Got Friends.

Working Title’s involvement with the franchise is well known, and they have worked on the avionics of many aircraft in the original Microsoft Flight Simulator after massively improving the Cessna CJ4.

Got Friends has been involved with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 developing gliders and bush aircraft.

Both provided some interesting insight into their work on the new simulator, including the highly anticipated flight planning tool that Working Title has helped develop.

You can watch the interview below from our YouTube channel. If you enjoy it, please like and subscribe. That always helps. If you can leave a comment, that’d be very welcome as well.

You can also watch part 1 of our interview series, in which we quizzed Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann and Asobo CEO Sebastian Wloch, and our second interview, in which we chatted with Asobo Studio CCO David Dedeine.

Of course, you should keep an eye on Simulation Daily, because there is going to be more Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 coverage on the site over the next few days, including more footage of various features.

Incidentally, we’d like to thank CruiseLevel, who was with us during the interview and allowed us to include a couple of their questions.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will release for PC and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2024. You can find all the editions and the full list of aircraft they come with in our dedicated article.

If you’d like to read more, you can enjoy our hands-on preview with plenty of interesting details about the simulator for your perusal, our A-10 flight through the Grand Canyon, our first look at the extensive pilot customization, and a video showing the first mission of the Career Mode.

Full disclosure: Simulation Daily was invited to a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 preview event in Grand Canyon Village, Arizona. Microsoft provided travel and accommodation.
