The beloved FPS franchise Delta Force is coming back, developed by Team Jade under Tencent’s umbrella.
Many may be wondering what they can expect from the game and the studio working hard on it, so Simulation Daily interviewed its Director “Shadow” at Gamescom 2024 in Cologne, Germany.
Shadow discussed the pressure of bringing back such a legendary franchise, the economy behind the game, and the reasons why the multiplayer is developed in Unreal Engine 4 while the single-player campaign will be powered by Unreal Engine 5.
We also get a glimpse of what we can expect from said single-player campaign, and where the developers are aiming to land in terms of military realism.

Delta Force just completed its alpha test and will be available for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, iOS, and Android. Early access on PC will start in Q4, 2024.
If you’re wondering, the game was previously called “Delta Force: Hawk Ops” but lost the “Hawk Ops” bit recently and now it’s simply titled “Delta Force.”
