New Zealand is certainly a very scenic country, so it’s time to explore it from above in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, with an Airbus A320 flight from Auckland to Christchurch.

This is the first of a new series of articles focusing on videos, and they’ll do exactly what they say on the tin, featuring full flights between interesting destinations, on some of the simulator’s best aircraft.

All the videos will have extensive unscripted commentary, and hopefully they’ll prove entertaining and educational, as you can follow along and learn to fly the featured aircraft with us (including from our mistakes, of course).

Today’s flight is between Auckland Airport (NZAA) and Christchurch Airport (NZCH), flying over both of the country’s large islands, including a look at the stunning Mount Taranaki.

We’ll fly the Airbus A320 with IAE engines by Fenix Simulations on the PC version of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and the route will be as follows.

NZAA/23L N0456F360 LEVR2P IGBAT H384 NP H252 NS Y288 IPRAK AVNO1E NZCH/02

You can watch the video below to find out how the flight went. Of course, we’d appreciate it if you could like it and subscribe to our growing YouTube channel, as that’s always extremely helpful. Comments and feedback are also always welcome.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. If you’d like to hear more about the simulator, you can watch our latest interview with Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann.

If you’d like to read more flight simulation news, you can find plenty in our latest roundup article from yesterday.

If you want to go further back, we have a handy overview video of the major flight simulation news in the past week. You can watch it below. As usual, leaving a like and a comment and subscribing to our growing YouTube channel is extremely helpful.
