The Boeing 737-800 by PMDG has been available for a few weeks for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and it’s time to take it for a spin with a fun flight over Tokyo’s charming islands.

We’re going to fly from Tokyo Haneda Airport (RJTT) to Hachijojima Airport (RJTH), reproducing a realistic ANA flight. It’s a short flight, but it’s rather unique as Hachijojima is the only one among the islands served by narrowbody airliners.

Specifically, Hachijojima receives four flights a day from Tokyo Haneda, all operated by ANA’s 737s and Airbus A320s.

It’s a perfect test for PMDG’s work on the 737’s autopilot, as it’s a tight climb and descent with very little time in the cruise and an RNP approach that requires precision.

We’re going to fly the following flight plan:

Both Tokyo Haneda and Hachijojima Airport are included by default in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
