There will be two editions available when Starsand Island launches in Early Access. The Standard Edition will include the base game, and those who buy the game during the launch period will get the Chinese New Year bonus. This includes festive outfits with traditional Chinese patterns and furniture.

There will also be a Deluxe Edition that includes everything in the Standard Edition, along with content that’s focused on Romanticism. This brings a variety of classical and fantasy-inspired outfits and furniture.

Sparkle Lab has reiterated that the Early Access phase will be shaped by community feedback. In Early Access, players can expect to see the four seasons on the island.

Starsand Island has a profession system, and all of the profession systems will be available up to their expert tiers. This includes farming, crafting, ranching, fishing, exploration.

Additionally, there are 15 NPCs that players can interact with, including 12 romanceable characters. The bachelors and bachelorettes have storylines that players can experience as they get closer to them.

There will also be two festivals to make Starsand Island feel like home on the Early Access release: the Chinese New Year and Summer Beach Festival.

The Early Access launch will also include things like plenty of new, modular outfits to customize, a large home space to decorate (both inside and outside), plenty of different vehicles, adorable animal friends, and more. Seed Lab explains that there are over 100 hours of content on the Early Access launch, so players will have plenty to do.

Crossover content will also be part of the Early Access launch, such as the My Time at Portia crossover.

A trailer for the news was also released, which can be viewed below:

While the Early Access is only coming to PC and Xbox, Starsand Island will be released in Summer 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. If you’re interested in the game, check out our interview with the developers and our preview of the game.
