Today, Kunos Simulazioni Co-Founder and Executive Manager Marco Massarutto revealed a trackload of content will be coming to its hit racing simulator, Assetto Corsa EVO, as part of its upcoming update 0.3. Those promised new features include multiplayer, improved physics, audio overhaul, and a lot of new content.
Multiplayer is arguably the biggest addition coming alongside the Assetto Corsa EVO update 0.3, as players will now be able to compete in matches with up to 16 players. There are even plans that will eventually grow to full track capacity, which will make for some crazy and chaotic races.
Physics is also improving considerably, adding in 1000 Hz damping, a new suspension model, and tyre evolution. Audiophiles will love the new overhaul, which introduces individual car sounds, inertia-based response, and backfire realism to really help immerse you into each race.
Visual tweaks and optimizations include GPU/CPU performance, VRAM usage, real-time MFD (Multi-Function Display) updates, making one of the most efficient and user-friendly interfaces in the racing sim community. Last but not least, nine new vehicles, including the Ferrari F2004, and two laser-scanned circuits: Circuit de Spa Francorchamps and Red Bull Ring, will be added in.
Assetto Corsa Evo is available in early access on PC via Steam for $39.99. If you’d like to know about the previous major update 0.2, be sure to check out our article dedicated to its release. While we don’t have an exact release date for update 0.3, we do know that the update will introduce one of the fastest sport wagons on the planet, the Audi RS 6.
