HoYoverse just dropped a lot of huge information at Gamescom 2025, as they teased the first in-game look at the newest character and region coming to Genshin Impact. Both the new character, Flins, and the new region, Nod-Krai, will be debuting in the game’s next annual expansion.
The new Genshin Impact expansion is set to mark a new chapter in the game’s main storyline, bringing together new and familiar factions from across Teyvat. While not too much is known about either of these upcoming additions, we can see a tease of each in the trailer.
In it, we can see Flins, a skilled Lightkeeper warrior, take on the Wild Hunt, performing several different challenges while exploring all that the new region has to offer. Anyone attending Gamescom can experience the action in the trailer below by visiting Hall 6, Booth C031, in the convention center.
In other big Genshin Impact and HoYoverse news, the developers will soon reveal Petit Planet, a life simulation game, which will launch on Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile. The official reveal should come sometime next month, and will be free to play, but we heard that the monetization model is going to be somewhat different from what we’ve seen in previous games by the developer.
