Project Motor Racing update 1.5.0.3 introduces a slew of new features and patch fixes, mostly in response to the negative feedback the developers have received from fans since the game’s release a few weeks back on November 25, 2025. The simulator currently sits at Mostly Negative on Steam, with a majority of users citing massive crashes and poor performance as to why they were leaving a bad review.

The patch is set to be the first of many over the next few months and weeks, with this one in particular introducing the highly requested Radar System and several improvements across AI behavior, online components, penalty system, and visuals.

The Radar System will increase the awareness of your surroundings, revealing an opponent’s positions relevant to your vehicle, and can be repositioned to your liking via the HUD editor. Along with track limits being reworked, the penalty detection system has received significant improvements across all circuits, meaning you will now receive a penalty notification shortly after exceeding track limits or gaining an unfair advantage.

Gameplay and handling, UI, audio, online stability, and performance got a lot of fixes, including refinements to GT3/GT4, GTE, Porsche Cup, and GT/NGT. You can see the full list of quality-of-life changes via the patch notes here.

Project Motor Racing is the latest game developed under the supervision of game designer William Ian Bell, who created the Project CARS series via studio Slightly Mad Studios. The game allows players to race up to 31 AI opponents, though console versions are limited to 15 AI opponents in single-player, prioritizing stable, high-quality play at 1440p and 60 fps.
