Today Aquaplus hosted the second day of its 30th Anniversary Festival in Japan and had news to share about its To Heart Remake and more.
Speaking of the remake of the legendary visual novel To Heart, simply titled “ToHeart,” the characters will be fully rendered in 3D, as shown in the first screenshots below.
During the event, the developer showcased the opening cutscene and the first gameplay footage, but we’ll have to wait before these are published on the internet.
The character design will be by Tatami Honjo. The opening theme “Feeling Heart” is performed by YURiKA.
As for the voice actors, Akari will be played by Kana Ichinose (Ryne in Final Fantasy XIV and Fern in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End), while Multi HMX-12 will be played by Hina Yomiya (Alice in Goddess of Victory: Nikke).
The game will be released in Japan in spring 2025 for PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch. It’ll be priced at 3,080 yen ($20.17) including taxes as a digital download and 4,378 yen ($28.67) as a boxed release only for Switch.
Yet, that’s not all. Aquaplus also announced a completely new JRPG codenamed “Project Kizuna” showing only concept art and a list of the staff working on it.
If you’re wondering, “Kizuna” in Japanese means “Relationship.”
It’s produced by Kengo Uchibori, who is known for his work on Tokyo RPG Factory’s I am Setsuna (published by Square Enix) and Goken.
The scenario will be written by Munemitsu Suga and the character design will be done by Tatsuki Amaduyu and Misato Mitsumi, all known for their work on the Utawarerumono series.
No further information was provided but you can check out the concept art below.
Just yesterday, Aquaplus announced a new Utawarerumono game and the return of a previously canceled project, the visual novel Jasmine.
