If you’re a fan of World of Warcraft, you likely know the drill. The War Within is just around the corner, and there can’t be an expansion without a suitable cinematic trailer.
As usual, the cinematic artists at Blizzard are among the best in their trade, and the trailer, titled “Shadows Beneath” shows exactly what it says on the tin.
A new threat lurks beneath the surface and the people of Azeroth prepare for war. You can check it for yourself below.
Incidentally, Blizzard just released the traditional pre-expansion update to prepare the players for the arrival of The War Within.
The expansion itself will be released on August 26, 2024, at 3 pm PDT. That being said, those who pre-order the expansion will get a few days of early access and they’ll be able to play on August 22, 2024, at 3 pm PDT.
World of Warcraft is currently available exclusively for PC.
If you’re unfamiliar with The War Within, it’s the first part of the saga that Blizzard calls the Worldsoul Saga. It’ll span three different expansions and The War Within will be followed by Midnight and The Last Titan, albeit these don’t have a release window for now.
Among the features of the expansion are a new landmass named Khaz Algar, the Earthen as a new playable allied race that can join both the Alliance and the Horde, and much more.
Incidentally, the development team at Blizzard Entertainment just launched a wall-to-wall union a few days ago, named World of Warcraft Game Makers Guild.
