During the livestreamed broadcast, the developer announced a feature that has become pretty much the industry standard in MMORPGs, but that Warcraft never adopted before, player housing.

According to the announcement, which was kept as the “one more thing” at the end of the developer segment of the live stream, we hear that the feature will be implemented with the next expansion, World of Warcraft: Midnight.

The expansion doesn’t yet have a firm release window and its full reveal will happen at the end of summer 2025.

No further details were shared about the feature for the moment.

Speaking of dates, Blizzard also announced the roadmap for 2025, and as you can see there are several patches coming across the next year, including two new seasons for the life cycle of the current expansion The War Within.

You can also see the expansion reveal located toward the end of Summer 2025, as mentioned above.

Blizzard also had news for those who love World of Warcraft Classic. Mists of Pandaria Classic will bring back the old expansion to the classic servers. It’ll come in 2025.

Below you can enjoy the announcement trailer.

For those who want to delve even deeper into the origin of the franchise remasters of the first two RTS games of the series, Warcraft I Remastered and Warcraft II remastered have been released today for PC.

On top of that, Warcraft III Reforged is also getting a significant update. The three games are available as a Battle Chest bundle for $39.99, or separately.

Warcraft I Remastered costs $9.99, while Warcraft II Remastered costs $14.99.

In other World of Warcraft news, the team behind the game has recently unionized, while we recently saw the celebration in memory of the late Mats “Ibelin” Steen.
