Get ready to bring socialism to the rest of the world, city builders. Today, Hooded Horse and 3Division revealed that they’ll be adding a brand new DLC to their soviet simulator Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic, which will be released on December 13, 2024.
The DLC will introduce eight new maps based on real-world locations, all listed below:
- Austria
- Czech Republic
- East Germany
- Eastern United States (New York State down to North Carolina)
- France
- British Isles
- Estonia
- North Korea
Each map will differ in size, closely measured to their real-life counterparts, and will feature unique typography and pre-generated towns, cities, and infrastructure. Every location comes with its own distinct challenges you’ll be required to overcome in order to mold it into a new and improved Soviet Republic. You can check out the trailer here.
Since debuting in early access in 2019, the game has received a Steam rating of “Mostly Positive,” with the main drawback being that the lack of a proper tutorial system makes learning the ropes and gameplay a considerable challenge. In June 2024, Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic officially released its 1.0 version.
Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic is currently available on PC (Steam, GOG, & the Epic Games Store) for a base price of $39.99 and is currently available at 50% off during the Autumn Steam Sale until December 4.
