Kraken Express has revealed that Windrose, its PvE pirate survival adventure game, has sold 1.5 million copies since its release on April 14. A video celebrating the success has been released, along with a patch that addresses some of the most commonly reported problems, quality-of-life changes, and new building parts.
To start with, the accolades video can be seen below. Not only does it include serious praise from critics, it also includes funny reviews from players on Steam in a heartwarming tribute to players.
When it comes to the new patch, players can look forward to quite a bit of new building parts. This includes missing wall triangle pieces for new roof angles and floor triangle pieces.
There are also four new Seedbed variations and new sound effects and visual effects on the farm. Ambient music on the ship and at the bonfire has also been extended, and there’s a new audio cue before a player hurls a projectile.
Additionally, Windrose will be much smoother after a slew of changes that reduced disk and CPU usage. There were also several crashing bugs that were fixed, as well as UI adjustments and quality-of-life changes across the board.
Several visual improvements were also part of the new Windrose patch, fixing visuals on lower graphics settings and fixing visual bugs.
A new Force Relay Connection setting will also help players connect and stay connected to their friends’ games. More information on how this works, as well as the specific adjustments that make the game run better, can be found here in the official patch notes.
