Today, Auroch Digital announced an exciting new game in the Warhammer series, as the developers have partnered with poncle to create Warhammer Survivors.
Warhammer Survivors places players in a brand-new bullet-hell roguelite survival game environment, combining the gameplay of Vampire Survivors with the illustrious worldbuilding of Warhammer. You’ll be able to play as characters from the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar universes, collect and evolve iconic weapons, and destroy endless swarms of enemies.
In collaboration with poncle, and official standing as part of the Survivors lineage, this standalone title lets you lead a roster of iconic characters and endure against the swarms of relentless enemies, while also unleashing deadly weapon and power-up combinations that create screen-clearing storms of bullets, blades, and magic.
You can take a quick look at the reveal trailer and some of the familiar faces you’ll see in Warhammer Survivors below:
- Malum Caedo, titular hero from Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, unleashes righteous fury upon the ravenous swarms of the Tyranids. Accompanying him in this announcement is the Cadian Shock Trooper, Trooper Kozlowski, and the Space Marine Intercessor, Brother Luca.
- In Age of Sigmar, Neave Blacktalon, warrior of the God-King Sigmar, cleaves hordes of the Skaven menace. Revealed alongside her is the unstoppable monster-slayer, Gotrek Gurnisson, and Sharynn Azurwrath, Stormcast Eternal Vanquisher, armed with a Celestial Greatsword.
Auroch Digital is best known for developing Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, while Poncle is a small indie studio founded by Luca Galante that gained a massive cult following after releasing in 2022, thanks to the success of their newest title, Vampire Survivors. The only info we know at the moment is that the game has a planned release date of 2026 on Steam.
