Today, Games Workshop announced the return of the Warhammer Skulls showcase, dedicated to the reveal and display of video games set in the Warhammer universe.
The event will air on May 22 at 5:00 p.m. BST, 6:00 p.m. CEST, 9:00 a.m. PDT, or noon EDT, depending on where you live. The stream will be available to watch on the dedicated Twitch Channel.
The announcement mentions that there will be world premiere trailers and game announcements on the menu, so it’ll be interesting to see what will be in store for Warhammer and Warhammer 40k fans.
In terms of games we already know and love (at least those that aren’t mobile shovelware), we can expect content related to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, Total War: Warhammer, Blood Bowl 3, Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge, and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
On top of that, we can also expect “several top-secret new titles” for which no hint has been promised.
Below, you can check out the announcement video, starring host Rahul Kohli, who will return to present the show.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see if we’ll hear more about Space Marine 3, which is in early development and was announced a few weeks back.
Games dedicated to Games Workshop’s franchises have evolved quite a lot over the past decade, with the British tabletop company shifting from an extremely restrictive approach of the era of Dawn of War to a much more liberal one. Nowadays, we have many, many more games dedicated to GW’s IPs, but the hits that are actually good are definitely more rare.
Of course, you can expect a full report here on Simulation Daily when the show airs on May 22.
