Today, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment recapped the successes of 2024 while also looking ahead to how to make 2025 even better for its hit third-person shooter, Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2.
The first thing they mentioned regarding 2025 was that the developers will be placing a heavy focus on adding in fresher content for PvP (player versus player) interactions, as players gave a lot of feedback about the area feeling ignored during this content during the first year of release.
For starters, next year will introduce a new multiplayer map. This location will be in a closed environment with many narrow passages pushing you to engage more in close quarter battles.
Custom PvP lobbies will also be coming as of patch 7.0. You’ll be able to play with modifiers and change the number of players (up to 6v6), change the timer limit for each match, increase the maximum limit score, and have more than two players for each class.
PvE (player versus environment) is also getting plenty of fresh content, including a brand-new horde mode, which will have more details released in the coming months. Prestige Rank arrives next year during Season 3, allowing players to upgrade their class even further while completing a new operation and killing new enemies, maybe while trying out the new difficulty level that is set to include a lot of unique rewards.
A brand new champion will arrive at Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 in 2025: a sniper from the Salamanders chapter. He will be available in both PvE and PvP, boasting an awesome cape, green armor, and a gun decorated with flames.
New customization elements will continue being added, including the much-requested Mark VI Corvus armor.
Lastly, the Datavault will appear on the battle barge. It’ll be a new area where players will find unlockable information on enemies and more. These entries will be unlocked via a special currency earned via achievements.
