Today, King Art Games and Deep Silver revealed a new trailer of Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 4, focusing on the story, and it came with a rather relevant surprise.
The Dawn of War series introduced the Blood Raven chapter as its original creation ever since the first game, but in Dawn of War 4, they will be joined by a significant ally, the Dark Angels.
The trailer shows how the dark-green armored chapter joins the fight on Kronus, led by none other than its ancient Primarch, Lion El’Jonson. While we don’t see his face, his armor is unmistakable.
The pairing is certainly interesting, considering that both the Blood Ravens and the Dark Angels have a bit of a history of bending the rigid rules of the Imperium more than a little bit, so it’ll certainly be interesting to see how they interact.
On top of that, Lion El’Jonson, nicknamed “the Lion,” is a larger-than-life character in the Warhammer 40k Universe, and it’ll be extremely interesting to see him act in the story of a video game.
Of course, the Space Marines aren’t the only faction we see in the trailer, as it also features the Orks, the Adeptus Mechanicus, and the Necron.
You can watch it below and see if it gets you excited about another romp in the grimdark future of Warhammer 40k.
Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 4 arrives on PC via Steam in 2026. It still doesn’t have a release date, but you can also check out its announcement trailer.
Incidentally, if you don’t know King Art Games, they rose to prominence a few years ago with Iron Harvest, which certainly put them on the radar of many RTS fans.
