In the Philippines, April 9 is celebrated as National Memorial Day because it commemorates the final day of a four-month stand where Filipinos defenders who held off enemy attacks despite being starved, short of ammunition, and low on manpower. This victory over the Japanese forces in 1942 continues to serve as a shining symbol of valor and selflessness to this day.

To honor that, War Thunder Moments of Valor: Philippines bundle features premium vehicles and unique camouflages created by the community. It is available at a 50% discount in the Gaijin store until April 16 (6:00 GMT), bringing it down from the starting bundle price of $125 to $62.49.

War Thunder was originally released in open beta in 2012 and finally released in full four years later, in 2016. Since then, the free-to-play vehicular combat multiplayer title has amassed a considerable following. In 2024 alone, players destroyed over 2.1 billion aircraft and 5.1 billion ground vehicles, proving that the free-to-play title still has plenty of players.

The Esports scene is also thriving for the title, as the War Thunder Championship Series (WTCS) recently detailed its new year-round circuit, featuring four major events throughout 2025.

War Thunder is currently available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One as a free-to-play title, though add-ons are available for an extra cost.
