Gaijin Entertainment revealed more content and features that will come with the upcoming update for War Thunder, named “Tusk Force.”
First of all, we get to see a few detailed cockpits that will enrich existing aircraft, the Meteor F Mk.8, the RAH-66, and the Fokker G.IA.
You can see them in the gallery below, with before and after comparisons.
The fuel dumping feature and effects have been added to several aircraft, including the Su-27s, F-14s, F-18s, Typhoons, Rafale, Tornados, Harriers, and many more.
The feature was previously available, introduced in a past update, only for the F-111, but now you’ll be able to enjoy it on a much wider variety of aircraft.
You can check them out in the bottom half of the gallery below.

Yet, there’s more, and we get a trio of videos showing new effects that will enrich the visuals of the game, including the procedural destruction of trees that will break apart depending on where they are hit.
Another new effect is more realistic flames billowing out of ground vehicles when they’re destroyed.
Lastly, we get to see new smoke trail effects for missiles and rockets. They don’t just look better, but they are more visible while they’re in flight. At times, better graphics can also have relevant ganeplay effects.
War Thunder is a rather popular free-to-play (with optional microtransactions) online simulator-lite with plenty of aircraft and vehicles to enjoy in ground, air, sea, and mixed battles. You can play it on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
