Earlier this month, Gaijin Entertainment unveiled a brand new structure for its 2025 War Thunder Championship Series. Today, they revealed that the first set of open qualifiers in this year-round circuit will take place over the next two weeks.
The first Open Qualifier will take place from April 19-20 at 15:00 GMT, and the second will happen the weekend after on April 26-27 at 15:00 GMT. The four best teams from each will land a spot in the Play-Offs, which will take place May 3-4 and May 10-11 at 15:00 GMT.
The line-up pool and map selection for each will be the same, with maps including Advance to the Rhine, Sinai, Huban, Normandy, and Vietnam. You can see the full line-up and prize pool listed below:

Fans can also follow the competition along via Twitch and have the chance to claim their own War Thunder Drops, netting you boosters and premium account time as a result.
The War Thunder Championship Series will be split into four separate Majors:
- Major I: Titan 5v5 [Bo5]
- Major II: Armored Apex 4v4 [Bo5]
- Major III: Air Superiority 4v4 [Bo7]
- Grand Final: Thunder Cup
The Grand Final: Thunder Cup features all the major formats in a single competition, meaning players will compete in tanks, planes, and mixed to determine which team is truly the best in the new first season of the WTCS.
