VRChat Version 2025.3.4 is live now with Build 1726, and it’s bringing a brand-new tab, the Shop, a Candy Quest, and plenty of changes and fixes.
The Shop in VRChat let’s you to buy all kinds of things, including Items, Emoji, Stickers, and even Portals. Players will even get a free Candy Codex and see new listings for Spookality, like Treats and Kath.
Treats and Kath are both Companions that will follow you around and can be interacted with in some way, with both of them giving out candy in the spirit of the Halloween season. If you see them in the wild, give them a head pat, and you’ll be rewarded d with a piece of candy – it does have to be from other companions, not your own.
Anyone who successfully fills out their Candy Codex will get a special badge to celebrate their Candy Quest. Quality-of-life changes coming alongside VRChat 2025.3.2 include:
- A better update to the Quick Menu coming shortly, but it isn’t in this version. The (incoming) Quick Menu will slightly reorganize the buttons in a way we think provides a better user experience. It should be in 4.1
- Working back button after trying on an Avatar
- Drone skins view bug fixes
- Fixed remote player voice audio clipping unexpectedly in some scenarios
For those that may not have heard of VRChat, it is an online virtual world platform designed for VR headsets where players can interact with each other’s user-created 3D avatars and worlds. It was first released back in 2014 for Oculus Rift and later found its way to Steam in 2017.
The service has grown considerably since its initial release, most notably due to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. On December 31, 2020, the service recorded a record of over 40,000 concurrent users for New Year’s Eve, even experiencing outages due to just how many people were playing when the clock struck Midnight.
VRChat is currently available as a free-to-play title on Steam and any headset that works with Steam VR. For more news on previous updates, check out Version 2025.3.1, Version 2025.2.3, and Version 2025.3.2.
