Today, Ramjet Studios released the 0.019 update for Vein, the post-apocalyptic horror survival game that’s available as a demo right now.

The 0.019 update is focused quite a bit on bugs and the game’s stability, though there were quite a few new features added as well.

One of the biggest new features is more map space, which is focused on the top part of the map. Additionally, locks now have different difficulties, and thieves start with lockpicks and a lockpick schematic.

Cheats had quite a few adjustments. Now, there are console commands for certain cheats. There’s also an overview of all cheats in the admin menu, which can also be used to broadcast messages to all players.

There were also several UI improvements to help players find craftable things, adjust some settings, and more. There were also specific bug fixes for the UI, too.

Additionally, the zombie infection rate has been slowed down, and players might see zombies fall over or throw up.

The patch notes for Vein 0.019 update can be found here. There’s also a handy video for players who want to see some of the changes (or who are just auditory learners). Players can watch it below:

PC players can enjoy Vein for free in its demo state. The game will eventually hit early access and then a full release. Until then, Ramjet Studios is offering the entire game as a demo.

The demo has been updated frequently, and newer players can check back on the things that have been targeted by looking at them. For more information, check out the 0.018 update and the 0.017 update.

Ramjet Studios also discussed its announcement of crossplay between the demo version of the game and the main game. This one won’t be possible anymore, though the studio worked hard to make it happen. Steam just won’t allow it.

However, the demo will be available forever, and multiplayer will always be there. Additionally, saved games can be transferred between the demo and the main game.
