After a bit of cryptic teasing yesterday, indie developer Poncle revealed that their hit 2022 roguelike bullet hell action game, Vampire Survivors, would be getting a brand new update and that it is available now for free on Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox consoles, and mobile. Patch 1.11 is called The Darkasso and introduces new arcana cards, special skins, and more.
You can check out the full bulleted breakdown and trailer at the bottom of the page. In the Steam post, the developers stated that the patch is experimental and that each new addition and update is subject to change.
- 9 new EXTRA achievements
- 1 new challenge stage
- 1 new relic
- 2 new special character skins
- 5 new Arcanas
In Vampire Survivors, players control a character that automatically attacks enemies that appear. It is their job to select which weapons and bonuses are applied to the character so that they can survive the constant wave of monsters sent out on each floor. While that sounds simple, the number of enemies that appear on the screen and their skill increases over time, making managing everything going on a monumental multitasking battle.
Poncle also updated fans regarding future updates for Vampire Survivors by posting a roadmap. While they admit it is somewhat all over the place organization-wise regarding what will be coming, it was noted that they are currently working on some general quality-of-life improvements. That includes Arcana effects on the pause menu, a new music selection menu, and a MEGA SEAL.
