Train Sim World 6 Showcases the Santa Fe Cajon Pass Route

Today, Train Sim World 6 revealed a first look at its upcoming Santa Fe on Cajon Pass route, which also sees the debut release for developer High Iron Simulations.

High Iron Simulations has been a Partner developer with Dovetail Games on the project since 2016, producing a variety of TSC products ranging from scenario and locomotive packs to routes. Now, they’ve made their very own route, taking players back to the 1990s ATSF in California with the Santa Fe on Cajon Pass route.

Since it was made in 1859, the Santa Fe railroad had amassed over 13000 route miles and was the operator of some of the most famous trains in the US, as well as of course, a vast freight network. Train Sim World 6 recreates the final years of Santa Fe operations, featuring a variety of duties with two classic examples of ATSF equipment: the C40-8W and SD40-2, in iconic Warbonnet and freight liveries.

The Santa Fe on Cajon Pass features 85 miles (136 km) of route between Barstow and San Bernardino, California, offering stunning scenery and challenging gradients for long freight consists. This pack also features three entirely new AT&SF freight cars and three existing TSW freight cars repainted in Santa Fe liveries.

Train Sim World 6: Santa Fe on Cajon Pass will release on November 13, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam for $17.99 and requires the base game to play.
