Nihon Falcom has officially announced Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, the sequel to the first chapter of Trails in the Sky, and it’s coming next Fall.
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, a remake of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC, is coming with the same 3D look as Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. It’ll also include new combat options, more side content, and, of course, the same story that series fans know and love.
The new combat options include new Crafts and S-Crafts. Players will also be able to use the new Brave Rush to link characters’ attacks during Quick Battles. They’ll also be able to use the orbment system to access Arts.
When it comes to new side content, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter will offer new minigames like poker and fishing. Players will also be able to cook with their characters, and several fan-favorite characters from the original will join as playable party members.
Fans can check out the trailer for the upcoming game below, though players who haven’t finished the first game or the originals may want to be aware of spoilers in the trailer.
Players can also check out screenshots of the game below, seeing some of the characters brought to life in 3D for the first time:

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is set to release in Fall 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The Trails JRPG series is highly loved around the world, selling over 8 million copies over the franchise’s lifetime by August of last year — before the release of the anticipated Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter worldwide and The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell, O Zemuria- in Japan and Asia.
