Muv-Luv Tactics Delayed to June to Improve Character Focus, New Gameplay Video Released
The developers of Muv-Luv Tactics: Nightmare of Kalidasa announced that the game has been delayed to June 2025.
The delay has been decided as the developers realized that many fans have been looking forward to the characters and story with the series’ creator Kouki Yoshimune at the helm.
The battle system is being revised to put the characters in the spotlight and new dialogue scenes are being added, but time is getting short and the developers don’t want to release something that feels incomplete.
As such, they’re taking more time to further integrate the gameplay and the story.
The recruitment system for the characters will be improved “to give it more of a Muv-Luv feel” allowing better connection with the characters.
The main changes include:
- Strengthening the hiring and training system for pilots
- Adding effects to make the pilots feel more human
- Introducing communication elements with pilots outside of battle scenes
- Implementing a system that allows relationships between pilots to affect the battles
- Added cut-in effects of the pilots as attack effects during battles
The developers feel that this will make it easier for players to empathize with the characters and to feel the drama of the battlefield on a deeper level.
