Here at Simulation Daily, we publish roundups with more gaming news that couldn’t be covered in individual articles, to keep you up to date with the work and games from a wider variety of developers than we otherwise could.

Before we get into it here’s a handy link to gaming news that did get its own separate coverage.

Muv-Luv Tactics: Nightmare of Kalidasa Gets New Gameplay Footage

The developers of the strategy simulation RPG Muv-Luv Tactics: Nightmare of Kalidasa have shared a brief gameplay video showing off the game’s TSF mecha and BETA aliens in action.

The game is currently being crowdfunded on Campfire with 26% of 60 million yen currently pledged and 34 days to go.

Incidentally, I’d advise slowing down the playback of the video to truly understand what’s going on.

Naoki Yoshida Reveals New Details About Final Fantasy XIV Mobile

Square Enix released a longer video featuring a Q&A with Final Fantast XIV Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida about the upcoming mobile version.

Interestingly, we hear that the battle system has been adapted to fit mobile gameplay and even the encounters and gathering or crafting, on top of the Gold Saucer will be adjusted in that direction.

The business model is something Yoshida-san has been “mindful” of, and it’s supposed to encourage “long-term engagement” while generating a “small but sustainable revenue.”

Farthest Frontier Full Release Delayed to Spring 2025

Crate Entertainment released a new gameplay trailer showcasing the indie survival city builder Farthest Frontier. The trailer underline the announcement that the full release of the game will come in spring 2025 instead of this year as previously announced.

As described in a much more detailed forum post, the developers need more time to achieve better performance, implement more features, and avoid being drowned by AAA releases in the winter.

You can read the full forum post for a detailed roadmap of what awaits between version v0.9.6 (which will enter public playtesting in the next two weeks) and 1.0, which will include three different victory conditions.

The game is currently available in early access on PC via Steam.
