Conan Exiles Developers Will Focus on Improving the Game Instead of Creating New Content
Today Funcom released a message from Conan Exiles Project Director Rodney W. Harper, who explains that the game was not originally intended as a live service. Yet, it became the biggest success of Funcom’s history and the developers have expanded it considerably with DLCs and seasons.
Yet, the focus on creating new content is taking a toll, and Funcom has now decided to “hold off on developing new content and features while we focus on improving the game from a technical and quality-of-life standpoint.”
Basically, the intent is to make the game better, not just bigger, and to fix bugs and increase stability starting with an update coming in Spring 2025. More details will be shared closer to its launch.
Marvel Rivals Developers Define Using Keyboard and Mouse Adapters as “Nefarious Behavior” and Vow to Fight it
Today the developers of Marvel Rivals posted a message on Steam condemning the use of “keyboard and mouse adapters” defined as “the use of software or hardware to mimic controller inputs with a keyboard and mouse.”
These tools are seen as able to grant an unfair edge in competitive play and their use is something the developers define as “nefarious behavior” vowing to use “a strong detection tool coupled with the keen judgment of watchful human eyes” to identify offenders.
Those identified will be hit with “temporary or permanent account suspensions, removal from leaderboards, or other punishments depending on the circumstances.”
