Airbus A340 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Gets New Videos, Screenshots, and Details

iniBuilds released another large gallery of screenshots and videos, plus details about its Airbus A340.

We get to see updated versions of the engine startup sequence and wingflex, on top of the old-style EIS1 display.

More videos and screenshots show the rain effects on the windscreen (that can be wiped) and the emergency slides that will deploy automatically if you open the doors without disarming them.

The flight model uses MSFS 2024’s latest aerodynamic systems, promising “more accurate crosswind handling, sideslip behavior, and drag modelling.”

The new ground contact model hasalso been used to improve ground handling. If steered improperly, the aircraft will actually skid leaving tire marks on the tarmac.

The flap and slat simulaton is custom, and the engine simulation has been expanded to include EGT, fuel flow, FADEC behavior, oil pressure, and consumption. The aircraft will feel suitably underpowered in the climb.

The flare and rotation techniques and the fly-by-wire systems have also been refined.

We then take a look at the printer, the caging of the styandby attitude indicator, the Para-Visual Indicator, the DCDU and ACARS Integration, the Minimum Off-Route Altitude display, the autosave features including custom intervals, and the difference in logic between EIS1 and EIS2 displays.

More goodies include the Cabin Temperature Simulation, the GSX integration, and an overhauled EFB. You can find all the details on the official forums.

If you’d like to read more flight simulation news, you can find plenty in our previous roundup article from yesterday.
