Flight Simulation developers shared news today, including upcoming aircraft and scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and MSFS 2020, alongside an interesting software.
Before we move on to the news, you can check out a story that received its own individual coverage.
Indiafoxtecho Provides Update and Screenshots of Current MSFS and DCS World Projects

Indiafoxtecho provided an update on its current projects. There’s even a tidbit for DCS World fans. While it’s not much, at least it’s a confirmation that work on the G91 is still ongoing.
Eurofighter
We have made good progress this month: the aircraft is flyable, many systems are either complete or close to completion and we believe that, within the limitations of MSFS, the product is in many aspects WAY more accurate and realistic than our older P3D/FSX version. We still need to complete the modeling/texturing of some essential parts (landing gear/slats/speedbrake) but they are on short final.
We do not have a release date just yet, but at the moment it is unlikely that the product will be complete before the end of this summer.
F-16A Falcon in collaboration with Heatblur Simulations
Our friends at Heatblur have done an amazing job on the 3D model which is 99.9% complete (just needs some very minor tweaks) and we cannot wait to see the final texture (model is obviously not texture in the screenshot). We have started working on the avionics and the flight model. It will take a few months to bring it to a Beta stage.
TA-4J Skyhawk
Good progress on this project too. The external model is now 100% complete in terms of geometry, and 99.9% in terms of texturing (it is just missing a couple of minor details). The cockpit model is complete in terms of geometry, but we still need to finish the unwrapping. We have started adding some code for the avionics and a preliminary flight model. This project has a slightly lower priority than the two project above.
F-35 Lightning II “Remake/Remaster”
For the most part this is still in the concept stage. It will be MOSTLY a graphical update to the current model (we think it is still good, but not on par with the best we can offer) but some of the functional improvements we planned for this new version will be part of an (unplanned) further update to the current product.
Other Updates
We have been working on updates to the F-14 Tomcat, M-346 and Tornado which will be hopefully released shortly. These updates have been slightly delayed with respect to our original plans as we are considering adding some new features/code improvements we have developed for the Eurofighter which could be applied to these jets too. We will work on them next week…and then release what we can.
DCS G.91 Update
Progress on this one has been much slower than we planned, but are working to bring it as close as possible to the original schedule. We will provide some screenshots as soon as possible.
Free Airbus A319neo Announced for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Horizon Simulations announced that it will release an Airbus A319 neo based on the systems by FlyByWire.
While this is a very rare aircraft in the real world, it’s certainly nice to have for those who love Airbus or simply unusual airliners.
