Paro Airport Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

Ironsim released Paro Airport (VQPR) in Bhutan for MSFS 2020. It’s available on Orbx Direct and Simmarket starting at $14.28.
It includes the following features:
- Highly detailed custom terminal and support buildings
- Realistic 4K PBR textures on all surfaces
- Handcrafted ground polygon with accurate markings
- Authentic Bhutanese design and decorative elements
- Custom ground service vehicles and clutter
- True-to-life layout based on satellite and real references
The developer already confirmed that the airport will also be coming for MSFS 2024, and work will begin on a P3D port afterward.

Boeing 737 Max 8 by iFly Gets “Experimental” Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Compatibility

iFly released an “experimental” Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024-compatible version of its popular Boeing 737 Max 8.
In a post on Flight 1 Software’s Discord Server we read that the compatible version can be installed with the following procedure.
- Make sure MSFS 2024 is not running.,
- If you previously tried to install the MSFS 2020 MAX8 in MSFS 2024, all elements of that must be uninstalled. No support can be provided if any elements of an incompatible install still exist.,
- Reboot your PC to assure no elements are left running in memory.,
- The initial MSFS 2024 version is 1.0.4.0. You will see this version (or later) at the top left under the dropdown box. Click the “Install” button in the main window to begin the install process. Follow the prompts.
The reason why it’s “experimental” is that there “may be things that do not work correctly in MSFS 2024, or only work in the latest 2024 beta.”
The update comes at no additional cost for those who previously purchased the aircraft, while a new purchase will cost you $69.95 on Flight 1 Software’s website.
PMDG Apologizes for Boeing 777-300 Delay for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Evaluatiing Release Without the Marketplace

PMDG CEO Robert Randazzo issued an apology for the continued delay of the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 release of its Boeing 777-300.
Apparently, the developer is running into communication issues related to the release on the official marketplace, and is now evaluating the possibility to release the aircraft on its store first.
Randazzo mentions that a decision on this is expected before the weekend. Below you can read the full statement:
“I had thought that we would have some news for you this week, along with some releases, but in spite of our best efforts I have neither to offer.
A quick Recap:
Currently, we are attempting to bring our 777 product line into MSFS 2024 for both our PMDG.com and MS Marketplace customers. The intake audit process for MS Marketplace 2024 flagged a problem with our naming convention that we used for the 777 fleet, and upon researching we discovered that we had failed to comply with some instructions provided to us by the MS Marketplace Team back on 18DEC24.We stopped the release cycles in order to correct the naming convention as prescribed, and then recommenced the intake process in order to be certain that the update changes would meet the following criteria:
1) They worked for retail PMDG.com customers.
2) They were accepted by the MS Marketplace 2024 intake process.
3) They preserved the ability to provide our 777 customers with the 2024 builds at no cost as promised.Immediately upon re-commencing forward progress, we ran into further problems with the intake process that called into question both the instruction set we had been provided and the veracity of our understanding how MS Marketplace 2024 customers would receive the 2024 versions at no cost.
As of today, we have found two conflicting sets of instructions and we have received a third set of instructions in response to our query on the topic, but this third set of instructions appears to set up a scenario in which customers in MS Marketplace 2024 would be unable to receive the products without repurchasing them. This is not a good solution, in our view and requires clarification so that we do not accidentally do damage to PMDG customers who interface with us via MS Marketplace.
What Happens Next?:
We continue to reach out to the Microsoft Marketplace team for clarification to the proper process There is significant lag in the communication process, so it is taking quite a bit of time.We are evaluating releasing the 77W product line for our retail customers as we have with the 200ER and 777F products that are currently available. We have been trying to avoid creating a circumstance where the most popular 777 (the 300ER) winds up getting released in a manner that puts it into conflict with the MS Marketplace policy process- as that would hurt our ability to service Marketplace Customers with fairness and simplicity as we do with our own PMDG.com customers.
I expect we will make a decision on this prior to the weekend, with or without further guidance from Microsoft and we’ll just have to clean up whatever mess results from the poor/lacking/conflicting instruction sets.
I apologize profusely for the continued delay, and the impact this has on all of our product lines moving into MSFS 2024. I cannot begin to express the sheer frustration we are experiencing internally as we want nothing more than for you to be able to enjoy the results of our work effort on this platform.”
