Airbus A220 for Microsoft Flight Simulator Coming in Q4, 2025

Synaptic Simulations showcased the upcoming Airbus A220 extensively during a development livestream, showcasing a new trailer, the aircraft in action, and the systems. A lot of progress has been made since the last time we saw it.

We also learn that the Airbus A220-300 version will be released in Q4 2025, so between October and December. In July, we’ll see a deep dive into the electrical generation and distribution system.

In August, the developer will broadcast a look at the menus, displays, and information systems. In September, we’ll see a closer look at the air data, electronic flight control, and autopilot systems.

You can watch the full recording of the livestream above.

Airvan for Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets More Details

SimWorks Studios revealed new details about the upcoming GippsAero GA8 Airvan. We learn that the aircraft will actually age even if you don’t fly it. Basically, it’ll get older whether you use it actively or you leave it on the apron, exposed to the elements.

For example, your oil filter needs to be replaced every 50 hours in flight or 4 months, and now the second figure actually applies. The pictures above may look identical at a cursory glance, but they are not.

They actually showcase the aircraft in a new state, and slightly aged, having been parked for a few weeks.
