Eurofighter Typhoon for MSFS Gets New Screenshots and FAQ

Indiafoxtecho provided an FAQ about the Eurofighter Typhoon alongside new screenshots.

Q – Is the Eurofighter a MSFS2020 or MSFS2024 project?

A – As we stated multiple times, we have no short term plans to abandon MSFS2020. The Eurofighter project is a MSFS2020 package which will be forward-compatible with MSFS2024.

Q – Will the Eurofighter be available on XBox? And will it be fully functional (radar and all)?

A – The plan is to make the Eurofighter available on XBox and make it identical to the PC version. BUT we have yet to go through the final test/certification process on XBox, so we cannot confirm it right now.

Q – Will the Eurofighter be available on PS5?

A – At the moment we have not received any information about PS5 Marketplace, tests and certification procedure. Our guess is that those will come in the near future, and we are looking forward to make the Eurofighter available on PS5 – but we cannot say for sure right now.

Q – Which weapons/stores will be available?

A – The model will include the following stores: AIM-9L, AIM-132, IRIS-T, AIM-120, METEOR, GBU-12 – along with external fuel tanks, targeting pod and smokewinders. Weapons will be cosmetic only (non functional).

Q – Is a two-seater variant included?

A – No, at least in the initial release. We are considering adding it in a future update, but it is a huge amount of work at this level of detail.

Q – Which Eurofighter version will be depicted?

A – On most aspects, including avionics, our Eurofighter will resemble an early Tranche 1. We know this is disappointing for some, but this is the only version for which some documentation is available on the internet. Many aspects of more recent versions are classified and we wanted to avoid venturing into that area, for obvious reasons.

There are, however, some deviations to mimic more recent versions where it made sense for gameplay.

Q – Are the sounds “good”? A competing product has REAL sounds you cannot beat!

A – The sound package has been produced by our friends at Echo 19. And we believe they did an awesome job. Then it is not up to us to judge, and compare our products with others – but we think you’ll be happy with the sounds.

Q – The pilot gear is inaccurate! HGU-55 only, really?

A – Yes, at the moment we went for HGU-55 only for a number of reasons. We plan to add different pilot equipment and helmets in future versions.

Q – Which liveries will be included?

A – We have tried to include at least a livery for practically every unit that operates the Eurofighter. However, the initial release is focused mostly on operational liveries, so we are not including special colors – those will come with future updates.
