Lancair Legacy Starhawk for MSFS 2024 Showcased in New Video

Flysimware showcased its Lancair Legacy Starhawk with a new video.

The aircraft will come for MSFS 2024, and it’s already shown running on Sim Update 5. It’ll introduce the developer’s “TrueSim” maintenance and wear simulation system, which we see in action in the video.

Concord Municipal Airport Released for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020

UK2000 Scenery released a new airport in the United States, and it’s Concord Municipal Airport (KCON) in New Hampshire.

It’s available on Simmarket for $18.54 for both MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020, and it comes with the following features.

DCS World Gets Update 2.9.26.23111.1

DCS World F16

Eagle Dynamics released a new update for DCS World, numbered 2.9.26.23111.1.

Several aircraft got updates, including the F-16C, the F/A-18C, the Mi-24P, the AH-64D, and the JF-17. There are also multiple new campaigns.

  • DCS: Spitfire Fight or Die Campaign by Reflected Simulations
  • DCS: A-10C II Outpost Part II Campaign by Stone Sky
  • DCS: F-16C Fangs Out Campaign by Fight’s On Simulation

DCS Core

AI Aircraft

  • B-17G. Strange pitch actions during takeoff run. Pitch is changed several times so the couple of tail wheel bounces appear. Fixed.
  • AI makes several “rocking wings” motion during climb. Fixed.
  • AI wingmen cannot descend low after following the lead climb. Fixed.
  • Strange behavior of the AI during target pursuit. While flying behind a target, the aircraft periodically performs maneuvers, loses speed and again tries to pursue the target. Fixed.
  • Mosquito. “Restrict afterburner” advanced waypoint action does not restrict WEP. Fixed.
  • MiG-15bis. Nose wheel incorrect animation (goes under ground). Aircraft pitch instant change right before takeoff run. Fixed.
  • MiG-25PD, MiG-25RBT, and MiG-31 aircraft have a max altitude in ME that is too low. Fixed. NOTE extreme ceiling above 20 000 m could be reached with very specific conditions – minimum weight, no weapon, max speed.

AI Ground

  • If the SAM system gets in the water, it can’t lock onto targets. Fixed.
  • Fixed T-80B track rotation speed.
  • T-62M: Model AP shell, armor penetration by an AP shell, armor and chassis – fixed.
  • Fixed a crash when performing a threat check on an already deleted unit.

Currenthill Asset Pack

  • Fixed EC-665 Tiger UHT Attack Helicopter missing blurred rotor backface
  • Removed EC-665 Tiger UHT Attack Helicopter placeholder future weapons
  • Fixed EC-665 Tiger UHT Attack Helicopter missing destroyed model FLIR texture
  • Fixed EC-665 Tiger UHT Attack Helicopter ambient occlusion texture
  • Fixed Tu-95MS windshield wiper argument issue

AI Navy

  • FFG-7 Perry: missile launch delays fixed.

Resource Manager

  • Igla missiles don’t show up in warehouse view in-game and can not be used for rearming. Fixed.

Weapons

  • SD-10 missiles modeling updated with INS, Guidance with Kalman filter and Datalink blocks and is now on par with AIM-120 on detail modeling scale 
  • Reduced RCS of ballistic missiles Iskander and ATACMS from 2.0 to 0.2 sq.m.
  • AN/M-64 bomb, added fuse options for F-86F
  • Kuznetsov aircraft carrier weapons:
    • Kinzhal SAM missiles go directly into the water – fixed.
    • Enabled “shoot in” bias and LOS shift for Tor SAM, solved Tor SAM accuracy problem against cruise missiles.
    • Lead mode adjusted for SHORAD CLOS systems, mode switch logic in case of ecm, alternative loft in ecm environment

Data Transfer Cartridge:

  • Fixed: Crashes on close when players were moved to spectators.
  • Fixed: CTD when selecting “auto” (HSI/Waypoint) with TOT.
  • Fixed: DTC deleting Bullseye co-ordinates.
  • Fixed: DTC load map warning popup unexpected.
  • Fixed: F/A-18C – Unable to edit or add TGT point correctly if DTC is loaded.
  • Fixed: F/A-18C – Changing altitude on RTE SEQ tab is changing waypoint elevation.
  • Fixed: doesn’t close on Track Replay.

User Interface:

  • New button added to map (F10) interface which allows to toggle visibility of navigation beacons

Scripting:

  • Player scores triggers in Single Player are not being registered. Fixed.

Quick Action Generator:

  • F-14A-135-GR (Early) missing. Fixed.

Historical mode:

  • Added UH-1 (HKP-3) for Sweden. 
  • The service life of the L-39 in Algeria has been corrected.

DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum by Eagle Dynamics

  • IRSTS:
    • Fixed: The map display in IRST mode is triggered by spawning the Mi-24P prior to the MiG-29A.
    • Fixed: The logic for the CLIMB (CLB) command when attacking a low-altitude target for the R-27T/ET has been corrected.
  • FCR:
    • Improved search/tracking in TWF modes.
  • Fixed: “Return to horizon” typo on its flight stick.

DCS: AH-64D by Eagle Dynamics

  • Added George AI CPG verbal feedback when no targets are detected.
  • Added NEXT command to George AI CPG to skip target during multi-target engagement.
    • If the current target is no longer visible, NEXT will replace ADJ+ (Adjust Aimpoint) command in the AI interface if at least one additional target remains on the “shoot list”.
    • Multifunctional Input (Long press) will command George to skip the target that is no longer visible and move to the next target on the “shoot list”.
  • Improved AI CPG need to have train detection support.
  • Fixed: AI gunner refused to fire in LOAL if last lased distance was out of range.
    • If the FIRE command is pressed via Multifunctional Input (Short press), the AI gunner will briefly fire the laser rangefinder to re-evaluate the range. If the target is out of range (> 8000m), the AI gunner will announce the target is still out of range. If the target is in range (< 8000m), the AI gunner will proceed with the engagement.
    • If the AI gunner’s assigned weapon is RF missiles, AI gunner will not perform target handover to RF missile until target is in range (< 8000m).
  • Fixed: AI gunner with ROE Free Fire can waste missiles when firing without constraints in LOAL-LO or LOAL-HI if no target point has been selected.
  • Fixed: George does not follow the order of targets chosen by the player (multi-target engagement).
  • Fixed: Added target IDs to AI CPG subtitles.
  • Fixed: AI CPG need to have train detection support.
  • Fixed: GUI bug when loading center fuel tank – gun % stay the same.
  • Fixed: APU sound is broken in external view to observer in MP.

DCS: Mi-24P Hind by Eagle Dynamics

  • Petrovich AI features update:
    • Additional circle indicator added in bottom right corner for reference of Petrovich AI controls and status
    • AI Wheel center command added for new features control
    • New search pattern added for boresight forward sector continuous search (SRCH FWD)
    • Multi-target feature added, allowing to choose several targets prior attack run, to attack them in order
    • New RoE mode “TGT GUNNER” which delegates target choice to the Petrovich AI
    • New Custom Point Attack ATGM attack method to designate any point in the world for a missile attack
    • New “Fix Gyro” command which allows Petrovich AI perform 9K113 system restart on demand to “repair” botched gyros.
    • Ability to toggle between barometric or radar altitude for Petrovich AI FLT mode
    • Colorblind options for Petrovich AI in special settings
  • Added target ID to Petrovich AI subtitles.

  • Petrovich AI does not see trains placed by the user in the mission editor – fixed.

DCS: Supercarrier by Eagle Dynamics

  • Added 5MC Messages.
  • Improved positioning of the IFLOLS lens for more precise landings, and increased visibility of the IFLOLS lights when aircraft are in the landing zone.

DCS: NS430 by Eagle Dynamics

  • Fixed. Automatic brightness/contrast 
  • Fixed. Crash on the Persian Gulf map when changing range

DCS: JF-17 by Deka Ironwork Simulations

  • Added: FCR AA binding mode (for RWS and TWS only)
    • Use TDC to designate a coord for SD-10
    • Use T6 to set elevation bias (+/-20kFt)
  • Added: SMS AA program NORM/ECCM attack mode (coordinated with FCR binding mode)
    • NORM: coord directly designated by TDC
    • ECCM: (aka backup attack mode) predict impact point for a virtual target “born” at designated coord by TDC with preset aspect (hot/cold) and mach (0.6-2.4)

All missions: Following changes are made for ground war calculation

  • AI CAP flights over the front line have a significant direct effect on ground war progression if the enemy has active helicopter bases.
  • If the enemy has no active helicopter bases, AI CAP flights over the front line have no direct effect on the ground war. However, CAP flights can still be used to prevent enemy bombers from reaching the front line.
  • Enemy bombers reaching the front line will have a significant direct effect on ground war progression.
  • It is possible to complete the campaign even if some enemy strategic targets remain operational.

The campaign documentation has been updated to reflect the above changes.
