Birmingham–Shuttlesworth International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and MSFS 2020 Gets Screenshots and Details

Fly2High appears to be on the verge of releasing the MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020 versions of Birmingham–Shuttlesworth International Airport (KBHM) in Alabama, United States. 

The listing on Orbx Direct has appeared, including new screenshots and a list of features as follows.

  • Highly detailed terminal buildings with accurate architecture and textures
  • Custom ground textures and markings, precisely matched to real-world layout
  • Accurate taxiways, runways, and apron layout based on current airport data
  • Custom jetways with correct placement and animations
  • Realistic night lighting, including apron, runway, and taxiway lights
  • Detailed PBR materials for buildings, ground, and airport assets
  • Optimized LODs and draw calls for excellent FPS performance
  • Handcrafted surroundings, including airport-specific objects and details
  • Native support for MSFS 2024

It’s worth mentioning that the airport has already been released for X-Plane 12.

 McKinnon St. Simons Island Airport Announced for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Orbx announced via listing on Orbx Direct McKinnon St. Simons Island Airport (KSSI) in the United States.

It’ll include the following features:

  • Native MSFS 2024 Development: Built from the ground up using the latest SDK, ensuring maximum performance, stability, and compatibility with the new engine’s physics and environmental systems.
  • Seamless Photogrammetry Integration: Expertly blended with the surrounding environment to ensure a natural transition between the airport grounds and the lush, marshy landscapes of St. Simons Island.
  • UHD PBR Texturing: Every surface, from the sun-bleached asphalt to the hangar walls, features Ultra-High Definition Physically Based Rendering textures for realistic light interaction.
  • On-Site Authenticity: We utilized actual on-site photography to create photorealistic HD textures, capturing the unique “weathered” look of the Atlantic coast.
  • Dynamic Night Lighting: Complete emissive and dynamic lighting systems provide a stunning nocturnal experience, with realistic apron floods and taxiway guidance.
  • Precision VFR Challenges: Tailor-made landing challenges designed specifically for VFR fliers who want to test their skills against coastal crosswinds and tight approaches.

Lézignan-Corbières Airfield Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 for Free

laserjet34 released a free rendition of the picturesque Lézignan-Corbières Airfield (LFMZ) in France for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

This is another of these free airports that comes with quality comparable to payware products, and it can be downloaded on Flightsim.to.
