Today, EA revealed the Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack for The Sims 4, which brings campgrounds, park creation, vacations, and more.
Adventure Awaits is all about getting away from the hustle and bustle of life and taking a Getaway, whether it’s a child headed to summer camp or a single Sim heading to The Sims 4 version of Love Island.
The Expansion Pack includes three neighborhoods in the new world of Gibbi Point: Wanderwood Wilds, Crystal Valley, and Jellyfish Junction.
Each of these locations offers plenty of exploration and its own Getaway. Wanderwood Wilds features Camp Gibbi Gibbi for kids, Jellyfish Junction has Revive and Thrive for the perfect relaxation spot, and Crystal Valley has Love Highland for Sims looking for romance.
Players can experience Getaways or create them themselves. These can be a one-day trip, or players can take as long as they need. Players can schedule events and even apply rules to these Getaways.
The example given for rules shows The Sims 4 version of the popular show Love Island, titled Love Highland. The rules in The Sims 4 created an Elimination mechanic where Sims would compete against each other by gaining relationship points. Another example is using this same type of rule set to apply to Skills.
New Skills are also part of the Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack, including Papercraft, Entomology, Diving, and Archery. Players can start developing these at any stage of life, and there are new activities to help, such as a Diving Board, Waterslide, and Kayak.
Players can also create Getaways for children in the form of camps. These camps include Modular Playgrounds that players can create, as well as new interactions like Hide and Seek; Rock, Paper, Scissors; and even interactions with imaginary friends.
As children are attending camps (and just experiencing life in general), they’ll be able to get new traits after experiencing Formative Moments. They’ll also grow Childhood Sentiments to other children they grow up with. Imaginary Friends have four doll models and four personalities: Goofball, Competitive, Creative, and Evil.
Adult Sims can become Camp Counselors for the younger ones, or they can become Park Rangers.
Players will be able to upload (and find others’ uploads) their Custom Venues and Getaways to The Sims 4 Gallery.

The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack is coming on October 2, and it’s available for pre-order now. Players who get it before November 13, 2025, will get a Toasty Tower Lamp, Toasty Tootsies Socks, and a Toast-Tea Kettle.
