Free Range Games and North Beach Games have revealed the release date for the upcoming expansion for The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, Durin’s Folk, and it’s coming up soon on November 18, 2025.
The Durin’s Folk expansion will be the first major expansion for the survival-crafting game. It adds over 20 hours of content as players learn more about the Fourth-Age Dwarves and the Lord of Moria in brand-new Lord of the Rings lore.
New features also include a Recruiting Post, where players can recruit NPCs they find in the mines. They can fill the role of blacksmiths, miners, guards, and even brewmasters. This also includes NPCs you find in the new areas, such as Durin’s Tower and even outside of the mountain.
There will also be Monuments, which are great works that players can undertake with the help of those they rescue.
Additionally, new randomized dungeons are a new stomping ground for solo multiplayer expeditions, creating new things for players to do in the end-game. The end-game economy is also being updated in Durin’s Folk, bringing new materials, items, and recipes.
