We heard during the livestreamed event that a character some thought lost (and most expected to return) is coming back, and it’s fan-favorite Heihachi Mishima.

After being left for dead multiple times, he will return as the third character of the first season pass in the fall.

After you recover from this shocking, absolutely surprising, and unpredictable revelation, you can watch him in action below.

We also learned the release date of the DLC character that will come before Heihachi. Lidia Sobieska will come on July 25, but those who have the season pass will be already able to download her tomorrow, July 22.

More news comes on the esports side of things, with the announcement that the global finals of the Tekken World Tour will happen between December 5 and December 8.

For the first time, the event will be hosted in Japan, and more precisely in the bustling Shibuya ward of Tokyo.

Yet, that wasn’t all we heard about Tekken 8, as Bandai Namco revealed a collaboration with Nike, as you can see below.

The collaboration includes two models of the Nike Air Foamposite One, one dedicated to Jin and one to Kazuya. The Kazuya model will be available exclusively via the SNKRS app.

Tekken 8 is currently available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Earlier today, EVO 2024 brought news about another popular fighting game and its season passes. Guilty Gear Strive by Arc System Works will get its new pass soon, and it’ll include Lucy from Cyberpunk Edgerunners as a guest character.
