During the Tekken 8 tournament at Combo Breaker, Bandai Namco revealed another playable DLC character, Armor King.
According to the revealed made during the livestreamed tournament, the returning character will arrive at some point in the fall following the next DLC character, whom we already know will be Fahkumram, following his reveal a few weeks ago at EVO Japan.
Speaking of Fahkumram, today we get to see his gameplay, his costumes, and especially his release date. He’ll be available in early access for those who have the Season 2 Character & Stage Pass on July 8, while everyone else will be able to grab him 3 days later as usual, on July 11.
You can check out the trailer for yourself below, with the first (and largest) part dedicated to Fahkumram, while Armor King only gets a small snippet at the end.
Incidentally, this is the second time in a row in which Armor King comes as DLC, having missed the initial roster. The same had happened in Tekken 7.
Tekken 8 is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. Speaking of tournaments, the game’s competitive scene has been very active as of late. We already know that it’ll be featured at the Esports World Cup 2025 and EVO 2025 this summer.
We also already know that Bandai Namco will release a brand new character that we have never seen before in the series in the winter, alongside a new stage. If I was a betting man, my money would be on a reveal for both at EVO 2025.
