Today, Bandai Namco officially announced during the Combo Breaker 2026 event that “The Strongest Creature on Earth” Yujiro Hanma is joining Tekken 8 as a playable DLC fighter in early 2027 as the fourth and final addition to the Season 3 Pass.
Anime and manga fans know Yujiro Hanm as the legendary antagonist from Keisuke Itagaki’s popular series Baki the Grappler. The character will feel right at home in the Tekken universe, as he is actually Baki’s father, joining Heihachi Mishima and Kazuya Mishima as some of the worst fathers around.
Baki is famous for absurd martial arts physics and builds, with its antagonist optimizing this. He is known for his terrifying “Demon Back” muscular structure and relying entirely on pure, weaponless close-quarters combat rather than swords or projectiles, making his raw brawling style perfect for the combat systems of Tekken 8.

The release timing of the DLC is no coincidence, as its early 2027 window aligns with the 35th anniversary of the Baki franchise. The Season 3 Pass that he’s a part of will also include the Subsea Lockdown stage and the Aurora Outfit costume pack, as well as the three other fighters listed below:
- Kunimitsu – June 2, 2026
- Bob – Summer 2026
- Roger Jr. – Fall 2026
