Tavern Keeper arrives in early access on November 3, 10 AM PST, and will be priced at $29.99, with a special 20% launch discount and complete-the-set bundle with Game Dev Tycoon. Alongside this, everyone who purchases the game during Early Access will receive the Supporter Pack, which includes two hours of music and in-game developer commentary.

When the game launches next week, players will have access to the full 25-hour campaign, free-play options, and an items workshop where you can create your own tavern furniture and decor. Levels will include Riverbottom, Halflingtown, and Gugamush, with features like a taproom, kitchen, accommodations, staff management, atmosphere, and a magical storybook.

The first major update in the roadmap is coming in Q1 2026 is called A New Hue, adding a color picker tool, more stories, and three hidden surprises. Next is Delving with Dwarves in Q2, which features a new level (Domhain), shop, earthquakes, deserts, and three more surprises.

Strut Your Stuff doesn’t have a release date, but the third major introduces more pronounced differences between low and high-skilled staffers, improving skills, unlocking upgrades, and management control. The Elf Help and full 1.0 release don’t have much information out, but have at least teased a new level (Meramin), accommodations, and a handful of other redacted content.

Greenheart Games also made a quick post detailing what to expect and not to expect from Tavern Keeper in its early access release, which you can see summarized below:

Expect:

  • A good time and a polished experience
  • ~25 hours of campaign fun.
  • Many stories.
  • Lots of systems to handle.
  • Near complete localization coverage.
  • Freeplay and customizable settings
  • A powerful Design Mode
  • The odd bug or unbalanced mechanic

What Not to Expect:

  • You cannot build or extend the tavern itself
  • You cannot copy rooms
  • There are no cellars or multi-level taverns
  • You cannot brew your own drinks
  • The game is not about managing heroes or sending folks on quests
  • Chances are, you might encounter a bug at some point
  • It’s not a full release – it’s Early Access
