Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase February 5, 2026 – All the News and Reveals

Back in November, we heard a Q1, 2026 window, but today it was changed to early January or early February in case things don’t go 100% according to plan.

Since it’s early access, we shouldn’t expect a fully featured launch, but Midway will be fully playable with approximately half a dozen scenarios. The pricing is going to be close to Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age, but it has not been decided just yet. The demo will remain available to give potential purchasers a good idea of what they’ll be getting.

Speaking of the demo, it’ll be re-released next week with an additional scenario (which is a variant of the existing one) and the ability to take direct control of F4F fighters at any time, as long as they’re in Combat Air Patrol or Escort duty.

Tacview support will also be added.

We also get to see progress made on Midway Island and the Kido Butai with the Kongo-class ships, including their variations.

Task Force Admiral

If you’re unfamiliar with Task Force Admiral – Vol.1: American Carrier Battles, it’s one of the first strategy simulation games revealed under MicroProse‘s umbrella when the historical publisher was officially revived in 2019

It’s coming for PC, and no other platforms have been announced at the time of this writing.

Full disclosure: the author of this post scrambled to back Task Force Admiral as soon as the Kickstarter campaign was made available.
