Stellaris: Grand Archive marks the conclusion of Stellaris: Season 8, which includes The Machine Age (Major Expansion), Cosmic Storms (Mechanical Expansion), and the Rick the Cube exclusive series portrait. Content-wise, it will feature 151 specimens to collect, a vivarium to collect and modify fauna, 17 new relics, and a new mid-game crisis to overcome in the Voidworm Plague.

You can see a full breakdown of additional content and features and the official trailer right below:

TWO NEW ORIGINS

  • Treasure Hunters: instilled with a thirst for adventure, this civilization is ready to set forth on their greatest and most challenging expedition as they enter the galactic frontier.
  • Primal Calling: this civilization has a primal connection to the wild. Viewing themselves as stewards to the diverse (and often deadly) wildlife native to their world, they now turn their gaze skyward.

TWO SPECIES OF SPACE FAUNA

  • Voidworms
  • Cutholoids

TWO NEW CIVICS

  • Galactic Curators
  • Beastmasters

TWO NEW TRADITION TREES

  • Archivism
  • Domestication

Before this pack, Stellaris: Cosmic Storms was the most recent DLC released for the series, arriving earlier this month. The new expansion a phenomena stronger than civilizations and empires sweeping through the galaxy, known as the Cosmic Storms.

Despite the hype surrounding its release, so far, reaction has been mostly negative on Steam, with fans citing that it doesn’t add anything of interest or excitement and that most of the challenges even hurt the overall experience. It is currently available for anyone with the base game ($39.99) for a price point of $12.99.
