ConcernedApe, the solo developer of Stardew Valley, has always shared bugs found in the farming sim on X. On November 4, when 1.6.9 was released, there were several bugs. One major one made players’ chickens disappear on the newest farm map, which console and mobile players could play for the first time with 1.6.9. There was also a critical issue for PlayStation users in Europe set with languages that aren’t English that crashed the game on launch.

The 1.6.10 patch fixes both of these problems. It also fixed two other crash points:

  • When the lost items shop sells the items from Penny’s 14-heart event
  • Going between mine locations in multiplayer

Unfortunately, the patch only went live on PC through Steam and GOG. ConcernedApe has promised that it will hit PlayStation “very soon” and other platforms quickly.

Additionally, the 1.6.11 patch fixes other problems including other cases of animals disappearing, NPCs not answering when players talk to them, controller problems when moving furniture, and another rare crash issue.

Console players are still running into a plethora of other issues, including other mining bugs and lag specifically on the Nintendo Switch. ConcernedApe did note that other problems would be fixed when consoles receive the bug fix patch, which may include these other problems. For now, console and mobile players will need to play around these issues as updates get approved and roll out on each platform.

For other Stardew Valley news, check out how ConcernedApe has promised to never charge for updates or “DLC”-like content for Stardew Valley in the future.
