Star Citizen is certainly a polarizing project, but there’s one aspect that almost never receives any negativity, the music.
Today Cloud Imperium Games released a video about the game in which composer Pedro Macedo Camacho discusses the music that he created for the upcoming Pyro system, which will be added with Alpha 4.0.
We get to listen to the music experience from when we approach the jump point in Stanton to travel to Pyro, all the way to the ambient track we’ll listen when we land on Pyro’s planet.
We also hear Camacho’s commentary for each track. It’s worth mentioning that Alpha 4.0 is currently being tested and should come by the end of the year.
While we wait, you can enjoy the video below.
If youāre unfamiliar with Star Citizen, itās a crowdfunded project directed by Chris Roberts of Wing Commander fame. Itās a multiplayer sandbox space simulator exclusive for PC.
The crowdfunding total has just passed $763 millionĀ ($763,444,382 at the moment of this writing) and the game counts 5,455,000 registered users. Of course, many of them arenāt paying customers, as they register accounts to enjoy Free Fly Events like the one that ends today.
A few weeks ago, we also got to see plenty of features and tech coming to the game, on top of the overall vision for version 1.0, which will be the full release of the game, albeit it doesnāt yet have a date.
The game will also have a single-player campaign titled Squadron 42, starring an exceptional cast of famous actors including Mark Hamill, Henry Cavill, Gary Oldman, Liam Cunningham, Gillian Anderson, and more. Recently we saw plenty of gameplay and learned that itāll release in 2026.
Since the project has been in development for over a decade, you can also see how Squadron 42 evolved since its first reveals.
