Today, Ukrainian developers GSC Game World gave fans a sneak peek of its upcoming first-person shooter survival horror game Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
In the Steam blog post, the developers detailed the many unique treasures you’ll find while exploring the Zone in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. None look to be more valuable than Artifacts – mysterious treasures you can either sell for heaps of cash or use to shift the laws of nature themselves.
So far, we know of five different Artifacts that will be in the game:
- Soul – Harnesses energizing properties to make active movement less exhausting and seemingly more fun.
- Stone Heart – Allows you to manipulate gravity so that you can grab and carry more scrap.
- Mama’s beads – Uses a biochemical effect to boost the bloodstream and stop bleeding.
- Kolobok – Changes your cellular structure so you’ll be resistant to chemical agents.
- Magic Cube – Dampens external kinetic energy to help you be nearly invisible to anyone or anything using an infrared spectrum.
Alongside the ones listed above, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will feature more than a dozen Artifacts scattered throughout the Zone. The game is set to be released for Xbox Series X|S and PC on November 20, 2024, following a slight delay that was recently announced.
If you still can’t wait for its release, be sure to check out the recent GSC Game World, which showcases an extensive deep dive video and provides a look at plenty of the game’s locations, alongside combat gameplay and the creatures that try to survive in the Zone.
There is also a trailer focusing on cutscenes and another providing another good look at the Zone.
