Microids has released a gameplay trailer for Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening, giving players a look at what the upcoming action-platformer will play like.
Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening is based on the 80s Japanese anime Cobra, which itself was based on the 1978 hit manga by the same name from Buichi Terasawa. The upcoming game is a platforming rendition of the first 12 episodes of the original anime. For those familiar with Cobra, this goes through the Captain Nelson’s treasure arc.
This faithful adaptation of the anime will include everything from the humor to the action fans know and love. Players will encounter many characters from the SF-Space Opera world, including the Royal Sisters and Crystal Bowie while playing as Cobra.
Players will also get a chance to use several of Master Cobra’s weapons, like the Psychogun and the Colt Python 77.
Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening can be played single-player or multiplayer, with three different difficulty options for the story mode.
