Last month, Ships at Sea developer Misc Games showed off some information surrounding the game’s first major update, including a new Tier 3 Vessel and fishing method. After this was revealed, players shared that they wanted to be able to operate cranes directly on their vessels.

Due to this popular demand, it was revealed that the first major update for the game will now also include the introduction of the brand new Tier 2 Crane. Players will now be able to manually control this tool to handle medium cargo and the new large cargo types that are being added in for larger ships. These cranes will be rigged on both the Tier 2 Cargo and Fishing Ship.

In the blog post announcing the crane, Misc Games also shared that they’ll be rolling out a minor update that will include the co-op/company feature—an exciting new addition that will allow players to collaborate in new ways. The update includes the ability to adjust wave height for normal and storm conditions, allowing you to tailor the ocean conditions to match your desired level of challenge.

At the end of last month, Ships at Sea also unveiled they’d be partnering with MacDuff for some unique ship designs. This partnership will be available at some pointing November.

Ships at Sea is available now on Steam for PC players, starting at a price point of $24.99. In other simulation news, Euro Truck Simulator just dropped a bunch of info on their latest update and Microsoft Flight Simulator also had a bunch of interesting additions.
